MFT - Dog-gone Awesome

Monday, May 30, 2016
Hello friends! Today I wanted to share with you the card I made for My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #282. There were so many possibilities with this challenge so I had a hard time deciding on which stamp to use. In the end I combined two stamps Lucky dog and You make my tail wag both from MFT stamps. I knew I wanted to use the two dogs sticking out their heads. Here's what I came up with:

I used a brick stencil and distressed it to make the wall for the dogs to sit on. I adhered it to the panel of my card. I also distressed the top half of the card panel to create the sky. I stamped and colored 5 different dogs using Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment with Tuxedo black Memento ink. I cut out two circles for the two dog's sticking out their head. On the inside of the card you will see their whole body. I thought it was cute. :)
That is it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

ME - Let's Rock

Sunday, May 29, 2016
Hello! Today I'm starting on a new adventure and starting a blog. Yikes! I'm very excited but a little bit intimidated at the same time. I'm going to do my best to posts when I can during the week that way I can get a routine going and figure out what days work for me. I do have an Instagram account, username crafty_m0chi you can follow me there as well. Please be patient as I learn the ways to be a blogger. :) I have so much to learn but eventually I will get there. Thank you to all my followers on Instagram for supporting me in the craft community. I never thought I could do something like this but I decided to share my creative side in January 2016 and I have been having so much fun ever since!! I really enjoy card making and seeing all the inspirations from so many talented people from all over the world is truly amazing! I have learned so much from each of you thank so much for sharing your creativity. So with that here's my first card on my blog.

I made a red, white and blue theme in honor of Memorial Day tomorrow here in the US. All the stamp images and dies are from Mama Elephant. I used Copic markers to color all the images from their May release called Rock and Paws. The background is made using distress inks. Most of my cards if not all of them involve some kind of distress inks. I just love the look of it. I wanted to highlight the puppy playing the drums so I used the Columbus circle die cut and distressed it with candied apple for a pop of color. Lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment in silver.

I hope you like this card and get inspired! Thank you for stopping by!
